Construction worker dead in historic tower collapse

The collapse occurred during ongoing renovation work.
Five people were rescued early from the rubble, but the 66-year-old man remained trapped and was excavated only eleven hours later, and his life could not be saved.
The accident is being investigated as causing injury through negligence.
