Two new contractors are now on site at Västlänken’s Korsvägen section following Trafikverket’s contract termination with the NCC-led consortium, with completion targeted for 2030.
Trafikverket has terminated the contract with construction consortium WLC, which includes NCC. Now two new contractors are on site for “critical works” in the Västlänken section, Korsvägen.
Züblin has been awarded “critical contract” for Liseberg, continuing works in the open excavations. This includes removing masses under Mölndals ån and reinforcement work for the concrete tunnel roof.
Veidekke takes the remaining work sites along the entire Korsvägen sub-section. They will primarily blast and remove rock at the western station under Johanneberg, and carry out concrete works at the western entrance and utility works.
The work is carried out on a cost-plus basis. Several subcontractors are on site for the continued work to complete Korsvägen by 2030.
