Veidekke has secured a turnkey contract worth over SEK 119 million from Obos Nya Hem to build the “Brf Aroma” residential project in Träkvista torg on Ekerö, west of Stockholm.
The development will comprise 42 apartments and 4 terraced houses spread across three 3-4 story buildings. Plans also include landscaped courtyard areas, a new access road, and a two-level parking deck. The homes are scheduled for completion in spring 2027.
“We’re pleased to take this next step developing Träkvista torg. The location combines the best of both worlds – the tranquility of a small town next to Lake Mälaren, with good transport links into the city center,” said Sofia Ljungdahl, CEO of Obos Nya Hem.
The project will be certified under the Nordic Ecolabel “Swan” for environmentally sustainable housing.
“We’re grateful for the trust placed in us and very happy to now proceed to the next phase and start construction of these new eco-labeled homes at Träkvista torg,” said Linus Wåhlin, Site Manager at Veidekke Construction East region.
Brf Aroma is part of a new detailed plan for Träkvista torg that includes housing, an assisted living facility, services and a new public square near Lake Mälaren.
