Skanska Properties has sold the Citygate office building in Gårda, Gothenburg, to its own portfolio for approximately SEK 2.5 billion.
Citygate, with its 36 floors and 144 meters, was developed and constructed by Skanska and completed in the fall of 2022.
The building has a total leasable area of approximately 43,000 square meters, where tenants include WSP, Manpower, Sector Alarm, Visma, Flodéns, Verahill, Parttrap, Castra, Knightec, and Skanska itself.
In total, approximately 80 percent of the premises are leased.
The building offers amenities such as fitness facilities, a bicycle hotel, a restaurant, a cafe, and a conference center.
Citygate is certified according to both WELL and LEED’s highest level, Platinum. The building is powered 100 percent by local renewable electricity from the solar park in Utby.
Skanska aims to establish a long-term portfolio of office buildings in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö. Citygate becomes the sixth office building in the portfolio.
The transfer of ownership takes place immediately.
