New M&A and Business Development head at Layer Group

Mattias Gelinder will take over as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Business Development at Layer Group on September 9th.

Layer Group brings together surface treatment companies in Sweden and Finland and was started in 2020. Together with driven entrepreneurs, Mattias Gelinder will build on a joint operation with the goal of becoming the leading surface treatment group in the Nordics.

He most recently comes from the paper and packaging company Billerud where he was responsible for driving a group-wide profit and efficiency improvement program that covered the entire group’s value chain and M&A. Mattias Gelinder has previously worked at companies such as EY and Nobina.

“With our shared ambitions, we can ensure a continued rapid but selective acquisition pace of quality companies and thereby create positive profitability development for the group, but also strengthen our operational and strategic work,” says John Strand, CEO of Layer Group.
