This is one of the largest railway projects NYAB has won. They have signed a contract with the Swedish Transport Administration for a turnkey project to replace railway switches on the Western Main Line. The estimated value is about SEK 140 million.
“This is one of our larger railway projects to date, where we’ve won significant contracts recently. We are very proud of the trust placed in us and humbled by the task, which demonstrates our competitive offer and further strengthens our position within the railway sector,” says Johan Skoog.
The project involves the design and replacement of 26 railway switches and approximately 2.7 kilometers of track at several operational sites along the Katrineholm – Hallsberg stretch. The contract is a collaborative project.
“We have many collaborative projects where our cooperation concept delivers high quality and efficiency in delivery, which is highly appreciated by our clients. It’s gratifying that the Swedish Transport Administration has chosen us in their evaluation, and we look forward to working closely with them,” says Johan Skoog, Deputy CEO of NYAB Sweden.
Design and soil investigation will start immediately, while the replacement of the railway switches is scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
