Hemsö will develop a new 8,000 square meter secondary school for 220 students, a sports hall to be used by both the school and local clubs, a youth center, and a sports field. The sports field and school yard cover an area of 36,000 square meters.

The three-story school building will have additional facilities including changing rooms. The site allows for a 600 square meter expansion, enabling places for 110 more students.

A 20-year rental agreement has been signed with the municipality.

“This is Hemsö’s second school project in Germany. That the city of Ragnsdorf chose Hemsö in a public procurement shows our offering is attractive. Hemsö has carried out numerous school projects in Sweden and Finland and has solid expertise in developing schools. We are currently in discussions with municipalities across the country to develop or renovate schools,” said Jens Nagel, Head of Hemsö Germany.

Construction is planned to start in spring 2025 with completion scheduled for summer 2026.

The new Ragnsdorf campus marks another international education property investment for Hemsö as it expands its public premises portfolio in Germany.
