From trainee to CEO – takes charge of major investment

From trainee to CEO in eight years. Ahmed Nasrullah has been appointed head of Moelven Edanesågen, one of the Norwegian group’s biggest strategic bets.

Eight years ago, Ahmed Nasrullah joined Moelven as part of the company’s first-ever trainee programme. Now, at 31, he is taking over as CEO of Moelven Edanesågen, one of the group’s biggest future investments.

Since completing the trainee programme, Nasrullah has held several roles within the Timber division. Most recently, he served as OT manager at Moelven Valåsen, the group’s largest sawmill. He has spent the past year as deputy CEO at Edanesågen.

He succeeds Magnus Ingves, who returns to his role as COO of Moelven Wood’s production units.

“From my very first days at Moelven, I felt this was a fantastic workplace. Over the years, I have been met with great commitment and a genuine willingness to share knowledge. That is something I want to continue building on in my new role,” says Ahmed Nasrullah.

Nasrullah holds a degree in mechanical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, with additional studies in business administration. Edanesågen has emerged as one of Moelven’s key strategic investments following extensive upgrades in recent years.
