The contract has been signed—Skanska will both design and build the new Langevann health and care center in Egersund, Norway.
The contract between Skanska and Eigersund Municipality is worth NOK 320 million, approximately SEK 310 million.
So what will be built? A health and care center of around 8,000 square meters. Several of the municipality’s health and care services will move in here. Skanska will build a nursing home with 60 resident rooms. The company will also build an adult day center, a commercial kitchen, and facilities for health and care services.
Once completed, the new center can replace parts of existing buildings and will be designed to support modern, flexible operations for residents, staff, and visitors.
If everything goes according to plan, Skanska will begin construction in November 2026, with the entire project scheduled for completion in January 2029.
