Peab has secured a contract worth around 185 million SEK ($18 million) from Skiab to build a vacation apartment complex in the popular Norwegian ski resort town of Trysil.
The “Trysil Suites” development will consist of 37 high-end vacation apartments ranging from 81 to 195 square meters in size. Amenities will include:
Ski-in/ski-out access Underground parking garage Gym Private storage for sports equipment Many units with private balconies/terraces overlooking the Trysilfjellet ski slopes
The complex will connect via an indoor passage to the Radisson Blu Resort, allowing access to the hotel’s spa, pool and restaurants.
“We are very grateful for this exciting project assignment,” said Per Ivar Rasmussen, Peab’s district manager for construction in Norway. “Peab has extensive experience in this type of development with a strong quality focus and efficient design-build process.”
Skiab, the developer behind Trysil Suites, is a joint venture between SkiStar and Peab.
Construction will start in May 2025 with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The luxury vacation home project aligns with Peab’s strategic focus on residential development, especially in prime tourism/leisure destinations across the Nordics as travel rebounds.
