The project, called Ulvenplassen, aims to create new housing forms that prevent loneliness and foster intergenerational community. The collectives will offer affordable shared living for young people, while the senior apartments are designed for aging in place.
Construction is underway, with housing sales starting next year and the first residents moving in by mid-2026. The collectives will have 28 private bedrooms spread over six floors, along with spacious communal areas.
By purchasing a share, residents gain access to their own room and shared amenities. Organized as housing cooperatives, the collectives ensure long-term stability without rental turnover.
“We’re creating something truly unique here by facilitating new ways of living that cater to different societal groups,” says Ingunn Andersen Randa, Executive Vice President at OBOS.
