Mossia demands late payment interest from Bane Nor

Construction contractor Mossia is demanding late payment interest from Norwegian rail infrastructure manager Bane Nor following payment delays on the double track project in Moss.

According to Teknisk Uteblad, the dispute involves outstanding invoices related to project milestones and additional works. Bane Nor recently agreed to pay an additional 10 million NOK for the latter, but Mossia reports that approximately 18 million NOK remains outstanding of the total 38 million NOK invoiced.

The payment delays are creating financial pressure on Mossia, which is seeking a rapid resolution to the dispute.

“Since this concerns ongoing processes between Bane Nor and Mossia, we have no further comment,” project manager Per Olav Moslet told Teknisk Uteblad.

The Moss double track project is part of Norway’s broader rail infrastructure modernization program aimed at increasing capacity and reducing travel times on the Oslo-Gothenburg corridor.
