“There are many projects in Jessheim now, but we consider this local location to be very attractive. We look forward to giving our members priority here, and we look forward to developing the project with Skanska, who is a good partner and housing developer,” says Vera Houck, Director of Housing and Project Development at Usbl.
Together, Skanska and Usbl will be part of a large development area in Jessheim with a 15,710 square meter undeveloped plot of land. The site is located at a transit hub within walking distance of the city center, train station, and schools, and borders green areas with hiking trails and established cross-country ski trails in the winter.
“We continuously work on a long-term land strategy, where purchases, sales and entering into partnerships will give us an optimal and adapted portfolio – both as a developer and contractor. Jessheim is a growing city with a municipal leadership that wants something and is skilled at developing new urban development areas. The site is close to the city center, but also close to nature with good public services nearby. This is an important project for us, and it’s gratifying to have a major and ambitious player like Usbl on board. Here are two companies with local expertise and implementation power,” says Pål Aglen, Executive Vice President of Residential Development at Skanska.
The start of the preliminary project will begin in the third quarter of 2024.
