Improving roads at Los Angeles International Airport worth $178 million.
Skanska has, in a joint venture with Flatiron Dragados, been awarded a contract by Los Angeles World Airports to execute the first phase of construction within the Airfield and Terminal Modernization Program Roadway Improvements Project.
The contract value amounts to $323 million. Skanska’s 55 percent share is worth $178 million.
The project includes bridge construction with associated components, as well as demolition and removal of surrounding structures.
Additionally, it encompasses temporary and permanent stormwater systems with pipelines, wells, walls and connection structures, plus relocation of existing utilities.
Work is underway and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
