Security giant strengthens US presence with MPI acquisition

Swedish lock and security giant Assa Abloy has acquired Metal Products Inc, a Kentucky-based manufacturer of custom metal doors and frames with annual revenue of $21 million and 170 employees.

Assa Abloy is acquiring US-based manufacturer of custom metal doors and frames, Metal Products Inc.

The company was founded in 1980, has 170 employees, and its headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Corbin, Kentucky, USA.

Metal Products’ revenue amounted to $21 million “with a strong EBIT margin.” The acquisition will therefore contribute positively to earnings per share from the outset.
