Skanska Finland is relocating from Ruskeasuo in Helsinki to new modern premises in central Pasila. The cornerstone was laid today for the office building under construction at Firdonkatu 1.
“It’s time for us to move to new, modern facilities, and the environmentally responsible spaces developed by Skanska CDF Oy will provide a workplace supporting today’s office needs. The project team comprises Skanska’s commercial developers, building construction, technical services and infrastructure experts – bringing our best capabilities,” said Tuomas Särkilahti, President of Skanska Oy.
The 14-story building will offer around 15,000 square meters of flexible office space. In addition to Skanska, other companies will also locate there.
Firdo will utilize geothermal energy for heating and cooling, significantly reducing the building’s carbon footprint. Environmentally friendly materials are also prioritized.
Located north of Pasila station and the Tripla mall in the Ratapiha district, the project targets LEED Platinum and WELL Gold certifications for sustainability and occupant well-being.
Construction began in January with groundworks, and the office tower is scheduled for completion in 2027.
The new head office allows Skanska to consolidate operations into modern, adaptable spaces aligned with its focus on green construction and commitment to minimizing environmental impact.
