With the approval, NCC as main contractor can now begin creating a residential area with homes for people of all ages.
Kolding City Council has approved the final plan for renovating the Skovvejen housing area, allowing Boligselskabet Kolding to proceed with the transformation project.
The redevelopment will reduce units from 474 to 318 by 2029, creating a mixed-age community with 192 family units, 84 youth units, and 42 elderly units plus senior housing.
“This represents both a physical and social upgrade, allowing residents to age in place while ensuring broad housing appeal,” says Bjarne Olesen, chairman of Boligselskabet Kolding.
Project Team: NCC (main contractor), DAI (engineering), ERIK Arkitekter (architecture), with Viggo Madsen A/S, Frost Larsen and Bisgaard/Ejsing as client advisors.
