Outokumpu CEO to depart for new career opportunity

Outokumpu has announced that Heikki Malinen, President and CEO, has decided to leave the company to pursue a career opportunity outside the stainless steel group.

Under Heikki’s leadership, Outokumpu’s transformation into a company with the strongest balance sheet in the industry and reinstating a dividend payment has been remarkable. A solid foundation has been laid, the company’s core is strong, and Outokumpu is ready for the next growth phase. I wish Heikki every success in the next step of his career,” said Kari Jordan, Chair of the Board of Directors.

Malinen will continue in his current role for up to six months or until his successor is found. The process to identify his replacement will start immediately.

Outokumpu is a global leader in stainless steel production based in Finland. The company thanked Malinen for strengthening its financial position and sustainability focus during his tenure as CEO since 2020.
