A major deal is set to push GRK's revenues well above €800 million this year. The Finnish infrastructure group is buying concrete specialist KSBR and has raised its full-year forecast accordingly.
Finnish infrastructure group GRK is buying Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne (KSBR), one of the largest deals in the company’s history. KSBR posted revenues of nearly €126 million last year and specialises in advanced concrete structures.
The deal is expected to boost GRK’s capacity in complex, technically demanding projects — particularly within electrification, the green transition and the ongoing surge in AI data centre construction.
– By combining the two companies’ expertise, GRK’s ability to execute large industrial and energy sector projects improves significantly, says Mika Mäenpää, CEO of GRK.
Following the deal, GRK has raised its full-year revenue forecast from €712–866 million to €811–1,019 million. The expected operating profit has also been revised upward, from €40–60 million to €70–95 million.
GRK has been expanding rapidly in Sweden in recent years, particularly in the north, with projects including port developments in Luleå and Umeå, railway work on the Norrbotnia line, and several bridge and road projects. Sweden now accounts for around 40 percent of the group’s total revenues.
