A new office building for Nammo Raufoss will be assembled from 89 factory-built timber modules in just under two weeks. Moelven Byggmodul will hand over the completed three-storey building in December.
Moelven Byggmodul is set to construct a new 2,500 square metre office building at Raufoss Næringspark for defence company Nammo Raufoss. The building will be assembled from 89 prefabricated timber modules produced at Moelven’s factory in Moelv, just 25 minutes from the site.
The three-storey building will provide 150 workplaces across a mix of individual offices and open-plan spaces, along with meeting rooms, social areas and a kitchen. Moelven Byggmodul will deliver a turnkey building above foundation level.
Module production starts this autumn and will take just under two weeks. Handover is planned for December.
– When we can produce a 2,500 square metre office building in under two weeks in the factory and deliver a completed building to the customer just weeks later, that says a lot about the strength of industrial modular production, says Trond Skjellerud, CEO of Moelven Byggmodul.
The production model allows groundwork at the site to proceed in parallel with factory production, significantly shortening the overall construction timeline.
