Following successful delivery of two previous buildings, NCC has secured a €150 million contract for the next phase of Oulu University Hospital’s expansion in Finland.
After constructing buildings A and F at the university hospital in Oulu, Finland, NCC will now develop building C.
The facility will house specialized healthcare clinics, day care services, pathology laboratories, teaching and training facilities, as well as a social and healthcare center.
The project is being executed under an alliance model and was preceded by a development phase during which the parties planned the construction in detail. NCC has been responsible for design, construction and technical building services in the project.
“In a professional alliance, we are now building a modern, world-class hospital. This places significant demands on both coordination and construction engineering expertise on us as contractors,” says Catarina Molén-Runnäs, Business Area Manager at NCC Building Nordics.
Construction will commence in 2025 and is expected to be completed by mid-2029. The contract value amounts to SEK 1.7 billion for NCC.
