NCC has secured a €21 million contract to renovate and expand a Danish military base near Slagelse, with completion slated for 2027.
The Danish Defense is expanding its facilities. As part of that effort, NCC has now been contracted to renovate and expand Antvorskov Kaserne, near Slagelse in Zealand.
The work includes renovation of garages for infantry fighting vehicles, personnel and office facilities, and construction of new personnel buildings for an armored infantry company.
The facilities will house the Defense’s newly purchased infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.
The expansion will enable accommodations for a larger number of conscripts.
“In this assignment, the Defense has specifically requested our expertise, experience and ability to establish a good and constructive collaboration from the first to the last day of the project. That’s exactly how we want to work,” said Catarina Molén-Runnäs, business area manager at NCC Building Nordics.
The contract is a design-build agreement valued at just over €21 million.
The project is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027.
