400-Space parking hub rising at Turku rail yard. Completion scheduled for Spring 2027.
LogoHub Oy begins construction in early October of a modern station and parking facility along Ratapihankatu, next to the Logomo bridge. The five-story building will provide nearly 400 parking spaces and direct bridge access.
Set for spring 2027 completion, the facility will serve over 2.4 million annual customers when station operations relocate to the new LogoHub. The project has been in development for over two years alongside the KUTU initiative.
The 15,000-square-meter complex features ground-floor station services, plus kiosk and car rental space.
“LogoHub will be Turku rail yard’s new landmark, combining modern parking, sustainable construction, and passenger services,” says Hans Niemi, Sunborn Group CEO and project developer. “We’re pleased to start construction despite challenging market conditions”.
LogoHub will rank among Finland’s most energy-efficient station facilities. Of 393 parking spaces, 25% include EV charging. The building uses geothermal energy and features a 300 MWh rooftop solar system.
Additional amenities include 200 bike spaces, 12 supercharger stations, 24 taxi stands, and a Fölläri city bike station.
“This represents strong investment in station district development through successful public-private collaboration,” notes Jarkko Virtanen, Turku’s Director of Ownership Steering.
Construction begins after the Turku Book Fair (October 3–5).
