Skanska and Grand Fiære Utvikling are starting the construction of the Grand Fiære housing project in Molde this summer.
The work to transform Grandfjæra has been ongoing for many years. The area zoning started already in 2010 and it wasn’t until 2022 that the detailed zoning was approved. Now everything is ready for the construction of the first homes.
“We are very pleased that we can now continue the transformation of Grandfjæra and connect the area to the Molde city center,” says Petter Vågsæter at Planor Bolig. Together with the companies Høvding and Oshaug Metall, they are behind the company Grand Fiære Utvikling, which is the developer for the project.
Skanska joined the project in early summer 2023 and has worked with the developer to refine the preliminary project so that it could be realized within budget. The construction contract was already signed in January this year and is worth NOK 212 million excluding VAT. Now the building permit application has been approved, and the project has applied for a start permit so that construction work can begin.
