The water park in Rosersberg will be the largest indoor facility in northern Europe. It will also include an adjoining hotel with plans for a spa section and relaxation areas.
And now the building permit has been approved by the Building and Environment Committee, writes Sigtuna municipality on its website.
“The water park and hotel will be a highly appreciated destination, both for municipal residents and visitors. It will also put Sigtuna municipality on the map for more people than before,” says Emil Wahlberg, project manager for Sigtuna municipality.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, and the water park will be located between the E4 motorway and Rosersberg residential area.
“The water park and hotel will not only be a nice new destination in the municipality but will also contribute many new and welcome job opportunities within service, hotel and restaurant sectors. This is good for all of Sigtuna municipality and it feels very good that the protracted process has finally reached the finish line,” says the municipal council chair, Mattias Askerson (M).
Developer Vi Invest is now starting with phase one. Phase two includes plans for the hotel, which will contain approximately 200 rooms.
