A €350 million contract haul sees Implenia take on three major bridge projects and an urban motorway tunnel across Germany and Norway.
Implenia has secured contracts for three bridges and a tunnel in Germany and Norway. The combined value totals around €350 million.
In Germany, Implenia leads a joint venture to build the new Peene bridge at Wolgast. The extradosed bridge will connect the island of Usedom to the mainland via the A20 motorway. It will be approximately 1.4 kilometres long and rise 42 metres above the water. Construction began in December 2025. Completion is scheduled for February 2030.
Also in Germany, Implenia is demolishing and replacing the old Marktbreit bridge over the Main river on the A7 motorway. The new bridge will be 925 metres long. It will be built using the incremental launch method to minimise traffic disruption. Completion is scheduled for 2033.
In Norway, Implenia is building the Lågen bridge on the E6 north of Lillehammer. The concrete box girder bridge will span 552 metres across the Lågen delta. Strict environmental requirements apply. The incremental launch method is being used to limit the impact on nature.
In Frankfurt am Main, Implenia is part of a joint venture for the first phase of the new Riederwald tunnel. The urban motorway tunnel runs 1.1 kilometres beneath the Riederwald district. Work began in 2025 and is expected to last around three years.
