TIME magazine has included the new Kunstsilo art museum in Kristiansand on its prestigious list of the 100 greatest places to visit worldwide.
“To be mentioned alongside destinations like Norway’s Iris Museum and Tokyo’s teamLab is surreal yet well-deserved,” said Kunstsilo CEO Reidar Fuglestad. “Kunstsilo is truly unique thanks to skillful architects, committed partners and exceptional staff. This accolade places us among the international cultural elite.”
The transformed 1935 grain silo, housing the immense Tangen Collection of Nordic art, has drawn over 77,000 visitors since opening in spring 2024 – already over half its annual target.
Commercial Director Eldbjørg Dahl said the international recognition is “simply euphoric” after years of strategic efforts with partners like Innovation Norway to promote Kunstsilo globally.
