Arvid Gjerde AS and Mesta AS have signed an agreement for Arvid Gjerde to acquire Mesta’s barrier business. The transfer takes place October 1.
Mesta will strengthen its position in road operations and maintenance by selling its barrier division to Gjerde. “This sale allows us to concentrate resources and sharpen our focus in increasingly tough competition,” says acting group CEO Tonje G. Jensen.
The deal includes all employees, machines, contracts and obligations. Approximately 40 employees will be offered positions with Gjerde. A long-term cooperation agreement will govern future collaboration between the companies.
“This investment strengthens our position in a market with several strong players. It increases our delivery capacity and national presence,” says Marianne Gjerde, managing director and owner of Arvid Gjerde.
The acquisition supports Gjerde’s strategy to enhance road safety operations and expand its market presence in Norway’s competitive infrastructure sector.
