Veidekke has secured two new road operation and maintenance contracts for provincial roads in inner Agder and Søre Sunnmøre regions of Norway this spring.
The five-year contracts, with options for extensions, have a combined value of NOK 605 million.
“We are satisfied with the outcome of this year’s tender round and look forward to taking over responsibility for the new contracts in September,” said Kjell Otto Bragstad, Director at Veidekke Infrastructure Operation and Maintenance.
From September 1st, Veidekke will be responsible for operating and maintaining approximately 11,000 kilometers of national and provincial roads across 24 contracts stretching from Finnmark in the north to Agder in the south. The annual turnover from these contracts is around NOK 1.8 billion excluding VAT.
“The new contracts were won after thorough risk analyses to ensure operational capabilities and sound financials. We are also currently negotiating option extensions for several of our existing contracts,” Bragstad added.
