Swedish lock and security giant Assa Abloy has acquired Metal Products Inc, a Kentucky-based manufacturer of custom metal doors and frames with annual revenue of $21 million and 170 employees.
Assa Abloy is acquiring US-based manufacturer of custom metal doors and frames, Metal Products Inc.
The company was founded in 1980, has 170 employees, and its headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Corbin, Kentucky, USA.
“I am pleased to welcome MPI to Assa Abloy. This acquisition aligns with our strategy to strengthen our position in mature markets by adding complementary products and solutions to our core business,” says Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of Assa Abloy.
Metal Products’ revenue amounted to $21 million “with a strong EBIT margin.” The acquisition will therefore contribute positively to earnings per share from the outset.
“MPI has built a strong reputation in our industry for reliable deliveries and exceptional customer focus. Their best-in-class lead times for custom metal doors and frames, combined with their strategic presence in the US, make them a valuable addition to our division,” says Lucas Boselli, Executive Vice President at Assa Abloy and Head of the Americas division.
